London

I met one of my best friends Lauren W. in Dublin on Friday and two days later we were on a quick flight over to London. It's been a whirlwind here. We got in Sunday in the early afternoon, checked into a hostel, and promptly boarded a double decker bus for a tour of the city. It was a hop on/off bus so we got off at the Tate Modern Art Museum and got to see some really cool pieces.

We grabbed some to-go dinner from a small grocery store and had a quiet night back at the hostel (we were pretty exhausted from the day's adventures). It's a really fun hostel!

Yesterday morning we woke up and met my cousin Merrill at one of the train stations. It was so great to see her! We spent the day watching the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace and browsing around awesome markets in Camden and Covent Garden. That evening we saw the play Three Days of Rain at the Apollo Theatre. We stood at the stage door after the play so Lauren could meet James McAvoy, the starring (and her favorite) actor. It was a lot of fun.

We are sitting here in the cafe of our hostel and are about to head to King's Cross Station in a few minutes to catch our train to Edinburgh.
